I am a cyclist, occasional writer, full-time coffee lover, cat lady and amateur Instagrammer.
I am the event manager for Land Run 100, a 100-mile gravel bicycle race on rural roads in Stillwater, Okla. Land Run 100 began in 2013 with 121 riders, and has ballooned into a 1,400-athlete event in 2018 with 100- and 50-mile bicycle options, a 50K run, or a combination of the 100-mile and 50K run over two days. I have been involved in Land Run 100 in various ways since its inception, and I finished the ride in 2016 after carrying my All-City Macho Man (his name is Sexy) for 10 miles.
I worked as the medical and education reporter at the Enid News & Eagle in Enid, Okla., where I covered beat news in northwest Oklahoma, in addition to non-profit, breaking, police and courts news in the area from 2014 to 2016.
I wrote for the Stilly Post, an alternative new source in Stillwater, Okla., after graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2014.
I served as Editor-in-Chief at the OSU newspaper, the Daily O’Collegian, in 2013, where I managed a team of editors and reporters to put out a newspaper five days a week.
I interned at The Bigheart Times in Barnsdall, Okla., in 2013, where I wrote news and features from around Osage County.
